Sector Rotation — A Practical Framework for Watchlists

Almorex,1 min read

Sector rotation is the observation that leadership changes as growth, inflation, and policy expectations shift. You do not need a PhD macro model to respect it.

A lightweight framework

  1. Name the regime you believe you’re in (in one sentence)
  2. List 2–3 sectors that usually benefit — and 2 that struggle
  3. Check your watchlist for accidental concentration against that view
  4. Rebalance attention, not necessarily every holding, on a fixed cadence

Relative strength still matters

Even in a favored sector, weak names lag. Pair sector view with ticker-level technicals and fundamentals.
